For those who found the new Hebdo cover too ambiguous and some of the assorted grieving pencil responses too abstract and detached from what really took place, the Berliner Kurier gets right to the point.
They’re right. Many of the cartoon responses have been pathetic things. Boo-hoo our poor free-speech is under attack, a sad looking pencil under the shadow of a rifle… Crying rubbish. How about some cartoons with the spirit of vengeance in them instead of the spirit of whinging and crying. Say, a giant personified representation of Western Civilisation shitting nukes onto Mecca and each nuke has a picture of Mohammed being mounted by swine on it. That’s the cartoon I want to see. But for the time being, this Berliner Kurier one will do.
