WASHINGTON — Discussing the pressures facing the secret service in the 2016 election cycle secret service agent Dan Dongino said, with some hesitancy, “This is the United States of America this isn’t Venezuela.”
In reference to the alarming amounts of violence breaking out at presidential campaign rallies this year, Dan Dongino in discussion with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, spoke of the hard work facing the secret service in the coming months.
The Secret Service is expected to rely on other agencies like the FBI and U.S. Marshals Service to investigate law-breakers.
“I’m not suggesting they can’t handle this,” Dongino commented. “I’m just suggesting it’s an ugly nightmare ongoing for the Secret Service. This is the United States of America,” he repeated, “this isn’t Venezuela,” almost as if trying to convince himself of the fact.
We assume that his uncertainty on this matter is connected to the sheer numbers of dwarfish, brown South and Central Americans involved in the violence this election cycle causing some commentators to mistakenly believe that the United States of America is Mexico, Columbia or, indeed, Venezuela.
