The organizers of a local Anarchist music festival have defended the long list of rules that must be followed by attendees saying that “anarchy is all about following rules.”
The Anarchist festival rules appear to ban all forms of human judgement to the point that conscious, and even unconscious, thought may be impossible at the festival.
“Yes,” says lead anarchist Rubber Button, “all judgement that distinguishes between people based on anything at all is against the rules.”
Against the rules are sexism (noticing differences between sexes), racism (noticing differences between races), ableism (noticing differences between the disabled and the fully-able), ageism (noticing people’s ages), and homophobia (noticing differences between homosexuals and heterosexuals).
Experiencing the human emotion known as hate is also against the rules.
“Anarchy is great,” says Button, “just so long as you do, say and think the stuff we want you to do, say and think.”
