SAN JOSE — A few hundred protesters tracked down and savagely attacked supporters of Donald Trump at the presidential candidate’s rally Thursday night in a spontaneous recreation of their favourite scenes from the 1954 novel Lord of the Flies
It is reported that over a dozen fights broke out in the crowd, punches were thrown, and violence erupted at San Jose convention centre as Anti-Trump protesters sought to produce scenes identical to the climactic savagery of Lord of the Flies.
Anti-Trump protesters, panicking about the existence of ‘the beast,’ thought to be Trump, later followed Trump supporters to their cars as they left the convention centre and assaulted several young men.
A conch was later used to signal the beginning of the hunt ‘for Piggy’ unknowingly played by a young man wearing a “Build The Wall” T-shirt.
Another young man was chased down like prey. He ran until finding some police officers who stopped his attackers. The police officers reportedly delivered their lines perfectly, expressing their disappointment at seeing American citizens exhibit such feral behaviour.
“I should have thought that a pack of American citizens would have been able to put up a better show than that,” said one, adding that it was “the end of innocence.”
